Family Economics Conference is happening now!
Our trip started out by meeting at the Devine's house. Rhonda is a dear friend of mine and also has a blog at Walking With Sarah. We followed them to Chicago and beyond, but, let me tell you, I once again am thankful to be a country girl!
When you are in the city, it seems that some people just do what they want to do when it comes to driving. Oh my! While I had one hand gripping the handle on the door, my other hand was gripping my coat. My right leg was constantly putting on the brakes and I wasn't even driving! My husband said that he was going to blindfold me.....maybe he should have!
Once we past downtown Chicago, we ended up in a traffic jam. Instead of taking 18 minutes on this road, it took us over an hour! Once we got there, I had the privilege of meeting a blogging friend, Jacinda at Growing Home. Pictures of us coming soon too!
Listening to Kevin Swanson with Generations with Vision and Doug Phillips with Vision Forum was not only eye opening, but inspiring to keep striving for self sustainability! If we do not have a vision, we will perish! Fathers are the key to raising a generation of sons who will use their God-given gifts and have a vision for their family, to do something instead of nothing. I can't wait to hear more!
