How to Stretch Your Butter

We all know that butter is better for us than margarine, right?  We also know that margarine is less expensive than butter most of the time.  I had made a switch to butter some time ago, but being on a budget made it a little harder to keep it stocked.  This is why I would love to have a milk cow!  I tried making butter out of goat's milk, but without a cream separator, it did not make very much and wasn't worth it.

Here is how I stretch my butter and make it into a spreadable one at that!

1 cup oil-olive oil or grapeseed oil
2 sticks of butter

I prefer the healthier oils.  Olive oil will give a different flavor, so putting it on toast with jam might not be a good thing.  Grapeseed oil and butter is quite scrumptious with anything sweet.

Put your oil and butter in a mixing bowl.  Beat on high until the consistency is smooth.

Put your stretched butter in a container with a lid and refrigerate.  Voila!  A pretty simple way to make it last a bit longer.

How is butter more beneficial?  Go here to find out.
