2013 Born-Again Farm Prayer Day

Today is the start of a new day, a Farm Prayer Day.  Thanks to Redeeming the Dirt blogger and farmer, Noah Sanders for sharing this wonderful idea.  God is the Creator of all things, so shouldn't we be honoring Him with how we farm/homestead no matter how big or small our land is?

A Born-Again Farm Prayer Day is a wonderful reminder to all of us that we are to glorify Him in every aspect of farming, not just on this day, but everyday.  Who is in control of all things?  Who makes things grow?  Who decides whether we get a bumper crop or a ruined one?

Most of us are striving to become self-sufficient, but at the same time, our dependency on the Lord is vital.

Let's join Noah at Redeeming the Dirt today and pray for one another!  Feel free to leave a farm prayer request(s) below in the comments section so that we can specifically pray for each other!

If you would like to learn more about putting God first in every aspect of farming, I highly recommend his book, Born-Again Dirt: Farming to the Glory of God.

Let's pray!

  3. I am disappointed and don't know how I missed this post. I will be praying for you all for the Lord hears our cries. I have a lot to accomplish on my father's run down farm. So much so that it's overwhelming. I am striving to restore the property to it's former greatness so that I may provide for my family as well as my community. I desperately need a tractor with implements (bucket, bush hog, and plow). Until then I am at a standstill. Getting things done slowly but surely. I give God all the glory! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
