Simple Living Wednesday Link Up!

Our Simple Farm

My daughter is graduating this Sunday from 8 years of homeschooling!  We withdrew her from second grade and have been homeschooling her ever since.  She is our oldest and this time is bittersweet for me.  It has not fully sunk in yet that my baby is 17 and ready to go to college this fall.

Although she will be commuting back and forth, I have not fully grasped this yet.  I'm sure in time, as with all things, I will be able to wrap my thoughts around this and fully accept the inevitable change in our lives.

Anyway, as I am getting teary eyed, let's see what is going on with you all!

It's link up time!  I'm always excited to see what you all have to share!  My simple rules are:

Link your post(s) back to Our Simple Farm and please read some of the other wonderful posts that everyone else has linked.  And, of course, keep it family friendly.

You can post as many as you want.

Ideas include anything having to do with homesteading, biblical living, sustainable farming, bartering, income ideas, homemaking, homeschooling, DIY projects, recipes, gardening, frugal ideas and anything else you think would fit!  I would love for you to grab my button too!

  2. Congratulations to your daughter. My oldest son gradutated last year and went to college 8 hours away. It took a while to get used to it. Now he's home for the summer. Thanks for hosting the link up. I look forward to it each week.

  4. I just finished my 13th year of homeschooling. My oldest is 18 and graduated homeschool this year. For various reasons my other 5 children will be going to a charter school this next school year. It is a bitter sweet time for me right now. I'm so proud of my kids and what we have done together over the last 13 years, and so sad that it is coming to an end. But I am optimistic about what is coming in our family and I know God has a plan and he knows what he is doing so I am trusting and not leaning onto my own understandings.
Congratulations to you and your daughter from Doing It Country In The City http://doingitcountryinthecity.blogspot.com

Sharing two posts today: the first is our delicious blueberry banana oatmeal muffins which are low in sugar but big on flavor! The second is a post about a little hummingbird adventure we had recently -- enjoy!

    Blessings and thanks for hosting!
